HVO REACTIVITY TEST July 2022 | QMR29-07-22

Table 1 - Results for Testing using the AEISG Code of Practice

Table 2 - Results for Testing using the QMR Reactive Ground Test

Prior to testing as per the AEISG Code of Practice each sample was assessed for reactivity risk based on pH, carbonate and amount of reactive sulphide  using the QMR Reactive Ground Test (refer to Table 1  and Table 2  for results of both tests).  All samples were alkaline and contained carbonates  which reduces the risk of reactivity.  Three samples contained sulphide with 2 having a trace amount.  One samples contained 4.86% sulpide(refer to Table 1 and Figure 1) and 11.5% coal which inhibits a reaction for this sulphide content when tested as per the AEISG Code of Practice Reactivity Screening.

Conclusion:

No samples were found to be reactive when tested as per the AEISG Code of Practice and the QMR Reactive Ground Test.
