SUMMARY
ACARP Project C35018 Reactive Ground Testing.
Rolleston samples of confidential data.
Testing of samples using AEISG code testing for reactivity over a period of 7 days.
Conducted For: Rolleston Coal - GLENCORE
Requested By: Nicole Phillips
Report No.: QMR14-07-23
Results:
Table 1 Received samples
Each sample was assessed for reactivity risk based on pH, carbonate content, reactive sulphide content and coal content using the QMR Reactive Ground Test (refer to Table 2). Two sample that was tested had a reactive sulphide content above trace. Theses samples also contained coal which inhibited a reaction with nitrates (refe to Figure 1)
Table 2 Results for Testing
Figure 1 – Sample C13106_ER02 under microscopic analysis showing <10ⴎm bands of pyrite throughout the coal.
Conclusion:
All samples were found to be not reactive.
