Reactivity Test Report
ROLLESTON COAL - GLENCORE REACTIVITY TEST DECEMBER 2024 | QMR181224
Testing of samples using AEISG code testing for reactivity over a period of 7 days.
Table 1 - AEISG Test Results
*Figure 1 - MW050_TP2_ER01, MW050_TP3_ER01 and MW050_TP4_ER02 physically reacted so are classified as reactive at per the AEISG Code of Practice
Table 2 - QMR Test Results
Each sample was assessed for reactivity risk based on pH, carbonate content, reactive sulphide content and coal content using the QMR Reactive Ground Test. Ten samples contained ≥1% reactive sulphide as described in Table 3.
Table 3 – Samples with ≥1% Reactive Sulphide
Conclusion:
All samples were found to be not reactive when tested as per the AEISG Code of Practice and the QMR Test apart from:
• MW050_TP2_ER01 pH5.5 and 8% reactive sulphide content QMR and AEISG Reactive
• MW050_TP3_ER01 pH 6 and 2.1% reactive sulphide physical reaction therefore AEISG reactive
• MW050_TP4_ER01 physical reaction therefore AEISG reactive
• MW050_TP3_ER01 1.2°C therefore AEISG Marginal.
